Purging Plugs
Purge Plug or porous plug is a critical component in ladle bottom purging system. Apart from the purge plug life its reliability, gas flow rate quality of steel produced etc are evolving as the most important parameters to judge the purge plug quality.
VVEL offers pre-cast directional purging plugs equivalent to IPV, GP II and GP III systems.
Slag Arresting Dart
Slag Arresting Darts are used in the converter as a means to cut off the slag from entering into the ladle during tapping of steel.
Bulk density of this item is so designed that success rate is high and thus effectively arrest slag from going into the ladle during tapping of steel. Hence makes possible to tap Clean Steel and increases the useful capacity of steel ladle.
